Pipepraphone
The Pipepraphone is a musical instrument made from salvaged materials that is modeled after the vibraphone!
The Pipraphone has 25 keys made from electrical conduit piping and shower curtain rods that make up a 2-octave chromatic scale. The instrument is played using mallets. Each key has its own resonator (aluminum can) which amplifies and sustains the vibration of the pipe. Like a vibraphone or piano, there is a dampening system which allows the player to let the keys ring out or sound short.
