The Cigar Box Serenaders are an upcycled musical instrument band from New Orleans, LA. Their instruments can’t be found in a music store: you’ll see and hear cigar box guitars, tin can banjos, dresser drawer basses, found sound trash kits, electrical pipe vibraphones, and more! The band plays an eclectic mix of funk, swing, and blues, performing songs by The Meters, Thelonious Monk, as well as original compositions. The band currently has two albums out: “Cigar Box Serenaders” and “Sounds Like Garbage Live!”. The band is a featured artist at the annual Samantha Fish Cigar Box Guitar Fest in New Orleans.
